Send an image to POST /api/v1/images/generations with model: background-remover and get back a PNG with the same width and height. Hair and fur keep their partial transparency, and the old background color is cleaned out of soft edges so the cutout shows no halo on a new background.

image_type: general (default) handles people, products, animals and objects. anime is for anime characters and illustrations and usually keeps held items and nearby props; do not use it on real photos.

Result

Always a PNG with the same width and height as the input. The most prominent subject is kept; glass, smoke and water are the hardest cases and may come out incomplete.

Solid color at no extra charge

Setting background_color does not change the price.

Batch catalogs cost the per-image price times the number of images.

Invalid input is rejected

Requests that fail validation, such as a non-https image_url, return an error instead of a task.

Integrate the Background Remover API

1. Create an API key

Generate a key at /keys and send it from your server as Authorization: Bearer <key>.

2. Pick image_type

Use general for camera photos and anime only for drawn characters and illustrations.

3. Submit

POST {"model": "background-remover", "image_url": "https://…", "image_type": "general"} to /api/v1/images/generations; add background_color if you need an opaque result.

4. Save the cutout

Poll GET /api/v1/jobs/detail with the returned img_uuid or use custom_callback_url, then copy the PNG to your storage before the link expires.
